DeKalb police and the North Central Narcotics Task Force bagged a suspected drug dealer late Tuesday night on West Hillcrest Drive.

At 11 p.m. during a search of Apt. C at 808 W. Hillcrest Dr., Keith Anderson, 21, of 1435 Moluf St. attempted to hide a bag of cannabis before being arrested, police said.

The search eventually uncovered 50 bags of cannabis belonging to Anderson, police said.

The total weight was about 34.5 grams, said DeKalb Police Lt. Jim Kayes.

Police charged Anderson with unlawful possession of over 30 grams of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony punishable by two to five years in jail and up to $50,000 in fines.
