Medical troubles?

Wal-Mart, in association with Lifetime Television, is offering a way to care for some of those problems.

Wal-Mart, 2300 Sycamore Road, is hosting a Speaking of Women’s Health forum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

“It’s a good opportunity to come out,” said Kim Wales, a Wal-Mart employee coordinating the event. “You can get some of your medical questions answered and talk to other women.”

Women’s Health is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating women about making informed decisions about health and safety.

Women’s Health is a national foundation that encourages women to explore their vitality, inner strength, self-esteem and beauty.

The focus of the event is “Wellness for a Lifetime.” Booths will be set up around the store with speakers and health professionals available to answer questions.

“This is the first time an event like this has taken place,” Wales said. “And we have more planned for the future.”

The next event is planned for Jan. 18.

“The January event will be much bigger than this one,” Wales said. “We hope people will come to both.”
