Paris, Milan, New York … DeKalb?

The Ben Gordon Center Foundation’s annual Spring Fashion Show will take place Saturday, April 13, at DeKalb’s South Pointe Centre, 200 Gurler Road.

The center provides behavioral health care services, including mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment services for DeKalb County. The Ben Gordon Center Foundation operates in cooperation with the Ben Gordon Center to help educate the public about behavioral health issues.

The foundation’s spring fashion show festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with a silent auction, followed by lunch and then the “Picnic In The Spring” fashion show, narrated by the Mistress of Ceremonies Beth Willey.

Models will present spring fashions for men and women of all ages from area stores including Robin Bolton Couture Designs, The Clothes Horse, Cracker Jax, Ducky’s Formal Wear, JC Penny, Kishwaukee Country Club, LanSirs on Lincoln, Northlander, Old Navy and Wedding Belles Bridal Boutique.

Models include local community members that either have been in the show before or are known by the Ben Gordon Center committee members.

Table reservations for eight are $240, and individual seat reservations are $30 for adults and $12 for children. Tickets must be ordered by Friday, April 5, and cannot be bought at the door.

“Last year’s turnout was good, with over 200 people,” said Sandra Jurani, coordinator of Development. “This year we are expecting over 300 people.”

The fashion show’s proceeds go to support the center’s Discovery House, a place for women and their children to live while recovering from substance abuse.
