DeKALB — NIU Fraternity and Sorority Life announced formalized recruitment and intake events will be deferred to the Spring 2021 semester, according to the FSL website

Deferment includes, but isn’t limited to, formal Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council recruitment and chapter specific recruitment weeks or intake or rush events, according to FSL.

Chapters can, however, choose to fill out an exemption form on Huskie Link if they are interested in hosting recruitment or intake in the fall. Fraternity and Sorority Life will provide more information soon.

Contact Fraternity and Sorority Life at fsl@niu.edu for more information.

The Northern Star will update this developing story as more information becomes available.
