13 more students test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB — NIU announced Monday 13 additional students have tested positive for the coronavirus; one additional student has recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 25 people in the NIU community have tested positive for COVID-19; two are employees and 21 are students. 

A total of two students have recovered from the coronavirus. 

Students who’ve recovered from COVID-19 are not in isolation or quarantine; they’ve also completed their 14 day isolation and no longer have symptoms, NIU Spokesperson Joe King said in an email Monday. 

As of Monday at 2:57 p.m., NIU is at 16% quarantine and isolation use, according to the dashboard. This percentage doubled since Friday.
