Four additional students test positive for COVID-19.

DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that 11 additional students and one employee has tested positive for the coronavirus, and 16 students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 43 students and 10 employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 526 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 473 have recovered.

As of  Monday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 3.7%  quarantine and isolation use, this is a 1.8% decrease from Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 739 COVID-19 tests during the week of Nov. 16 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 1.1%, with eight recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
