NIU Athletics announces schedule changes for women’s basketball

DeKALB — The women’s basketball team will have changes to its schedule over the next two weeks, the first being a change of tip-off time against the Eastern Illinois University Panthers in the Compass Challenge Friday.

Originally the game between the Huskies and the Panthers was supposed to tip off at 6 p.m, butwill now be moved to 3 p.m. This change is due to the Southern Illinois University Salukis dropping out of the tournament after making  implications according to COVID-19. 

NIU’s game Saturday against the Western Illinois University Bulldogs will be moved to 2 p.m. due to this change.

The Huskies also saw changes to its conference schedule. On Dec. 10, they will face off against the University of Toledo Rockets 6 p.m at the NIU Convocation Center. This game was originally scheduled for Feb. 20 but was changed by the Mid-American Conference Monday.
