4 more students, 3 employees test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that four additional students and three employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and nine students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 37 students and eight employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 585 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 540 have recovered.

As of  Monday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 4.3%  quarantine and isolation use, this is a 1.2% decrease from Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 699 COVID-19 tests during the week of Nov. 30 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 1.3%, with nine recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
