DeKALB — Women’s basketball’s scheduled matchup against the Eastern Michigan University Eagles for Feb. 10 has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.

The Mid-American conference announced a series of schedule postponements to the Easter Michigan University women’s basketball program. The postponements are due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release.

This is the third conference game to be postponed on the Huskies’ schedule this season, with the previous two pushed the team’s two game series against the Kent State University Golden Flashes to a later date.

The Eagles’ schedule pause will start with the team’s matchup against the University of Buffalo on Saturday. Currently, Eastern Michigan will return to the floor on Feb. 24 against the University of Western Michigan.

NIU returns to action Monday when the Huskies travel to Muncie, Indiana to square off against 9-5 Ball State University Cardinals. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN 3.
