DeKALB — The Egyptian Theatre will host its annual Spring Art exhibit starting at 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will be held every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. until April 22.

The Spring Art exhibit will be the first art exhibit featured in the new expansion made to the theatre, said Jeanine Holcomb, Marketing and Communications Director of the Egyptian Theatre.

“There is a wide variety of different types of art, artistic expression. And different mediums will be featured,” Holcomb said.

Holocomb said Chrystal Ciodyk, of the Chrystal Clinic, an acupuncture clinic in Sycamore will sponsor the event. Eight local artists ranging from the ages of 17 to 78 will be featured.

It is important to feature the curated work of local artists, Holcomb said.

Admission is free and open to the public. Social distancing and masking guidelines will also apply. Walk-ins are accepted, and patrons who are attending other events at the theatre are encouraged to stop by at the exhibit, Holcomb said.
