Sadler in spotlight on and off camera

‘Ever want to see that break-away TD run a second time? Wondering just how good the next NIU football opponent will be?

It’s easy to have all the answers to Huskie football by watching “The Charlie Sadler Show” on either WIFR-TV Rockford (CBS, Ch. 23) or SportsChannel Chicago.

The Sadler Show airs on WIFR at 11 p.m. on Sundays.

The half-hour program, which is co-hosted by Huskie Radio Network play-by-play veteran Bill Baker and head football coach Charlie Sadler, debuts on SportsChannel Thursday in the 6:30 p.m. time slot and can be seen at that time throughout the month of September. Please consult local listings for future air dates in October and November.

In addition to a review of the previous week’s game, the show includes features on players and strategy as well as a preview of the next opponent.

NIU’s Media Services Department, under the direction of Keith Collins, produces the half-hour program. Brad Hoey serves as producer and director for the Sadler Show and will also handle “The Brian Hammel Show” come basketball season.

‘Charlie Sadler will also take center stage Thursday at the DeKalb Daily Chronicle-sponsored Huskie Coaches’ Luncheon. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Days Inn-DeKalb.

The cost of the luncheon, which will also feature NIU volleyball coach Pete Waite, is $6.
