8 additional students test positive for COVID-19, 14 students recover

DeKALB — NIU announced Friday that eight students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 14 students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Friday, 75 students and two employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 992 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 915 have recovered.

As of Friday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 21.5% quarantine and isolation use, a 2.4% decrease from Thursday.

What to do if you test positive

Faculty, staff and students are to complete the COVID-19 Checklist if diagnosed with COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
