DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,354 and 41,754 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,875 are younger than 19, 2,535 are in their 20s, 1,551 are in their 30s, 1,403 are in their 40s, 1,271 are in their 50s, 852 are in their 60s, 453 are in their 70s and 414 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 120 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 86,486 vaccines as of Friday, and 41,754 county residents are fully vaccinated, 40% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.3 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 23,133 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 5.9 million residents as of Friday, 46% of the state population.
