DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,376 and 43,547 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,878 are younger than 19, 2,543 are in their 20s, 1,557 are in their 30s, 1,405 are in their 40s, 1,271 are in their 50s, 855 are in their 60s, 453 are in their 70s and 414 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 120 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 87,719 vaccines as of Friday, and 43,547 county residents are fully vaccinated, 40.8% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.3 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 23,133 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 6 million residents as of Friday, 47.3% of the state population.
