DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,479 and 44,766 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,898 are younger than 19, 2,572 are in their 20s, 1,576 are in their 30s, 1,418 are in their 40s, 1,282 are in their 50s, 859 are in their 60s, 457 are in their 70s and 417 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 121 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 91,883 vaccines as of Friday, and 44,766 county residents are fully vaccinated, 42.9% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.4 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 23,401 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 6.4 million residents as of Friday, 50.3% of the state population.
