DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,553 and 45,182 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,921 are younger than 19, 2,589 are in their 20s, 1,585 are in their 30s, 1,429 are in their 40s, 1,290 are in their 50s, 861 are in their 60s, 461 are in their 70s and 417 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 121 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 92,892 vaccines as of Friday, and 45,182 county residents are fully vaccinated, 43.4% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.4 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 23,440 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 6.5 million residents as of Friday, 50.8% of the state population.
