DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 10,937 and 47,791 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 1,994 are younger than 19, 2,679 are in their 20s, 1,658 are in their 30s, 1,477 are in their 40s, 1,332 are in their 50s, 893 are in their 60s, 475 are in their 70s and 429 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 123 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 96,301 vaccines as of Friday, and 47,791 county residents are fully vaccinated, 45.9% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 23,717 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 6.7 million residents as of Friday, 61.3% of the state population.
