DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department announced Friday the number of positive COVID-19 cases increased to 11,825 and 49,435 county residents are fully vaccinated.
Among those who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus, 2,277 are younger than 19, 2,858 are in their 20s, 1,798 are in their 30s, 1,574 are in their 40s, 1,411 are in their 50s, 969 are in their 60s, 500 are in their 70s and 438 are 80 or older.
As of Friday, 126 people have died from the coronavirus in the county, according to the DCHD.
DeKalb County has administered 99,966 vaccines as of Friday, and 49,435 county residents are fully vaccinated, 47.5% of the county population, according to state vaccine data.
Statewide, there are 1.5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 24,546 recorded deaths as of 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The state has fully vaccinated 6.9 million residents as of Friday, 54.29% of the state population.
