3 students, no employees test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB — NIU announced Tuesday that three additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and six students and two employees have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Tuesday, 25 Huskies are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 125 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 100 have recovered since the semester began Aug. 23.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 1,847 COVID-19 tests during the week of Sept. 13 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.54%, with 10 recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
