Stop judging
April 27, 1992
Hatemongers like Keith T. Berkhout give real Christians a bad reputation. I’m not a Bible Scholar so I can’t argue chapter and verse, but when I think of Christian teachings, I think of “Judge not lest you be judged” and “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” To me Jesus Christ is God’s image of what humans can strive to become. Keith, do you have any desire to become Christlike? I doubt it. You seem to feel that you are equal to God and that you have a right to determine and judge other people’s lines. Also, you believe that all people should follow God’s word as written in the Old Testament of the Bible. I hope this fact doesn’t totally disillusion you, Keith, but Christians are a minority in the world. Other religions don’t recognize the Bible as the word of God. Also, Christians follow the New Testament because it gives us the teachings of Christ.
Going beyond the Bible, Keith, let’s look at reality. Ten percent of the world is homosexual by birth. Hatemongers like you, Patrick Buchanan, and Adolph Hitler prefer to believe that homosexuality is a choice. Given that it is not a choice and that 10 percent of the population is homosexual, what is your solution to this so-called problem? History has proven that Hitler’s concentration camps and gas chambers did not work. What do you suggest? Lions?
