The reason I’m writing this letter is in response to Mr. Grimaldi’s opinion of Dr. Lessen. Dr. Lessen is a capable, quality and dedicated instructor. He is genuinely concerned about disabled people.

Perhaps the reason some are disappointed is that his class is not one to take for easy marks. On the contrary, Dr. Lessen tries to challenge one by teaching with unorthodox methods so that one is made to think about what a disabled person goes through in life. this can be an enriching growth.

Personally, I had the misfortune to not be able to complete his course because of illness, but Dr. Lessen helped me find a major I’m comfortable pursuing as a course of study. This was a positive result of my brief experience taking his course.
