Candidates for NIU’s Black Student Union have only a short time left to complete and submit their applications for executive officer positions for the 1992-93 school year.

Students interested in running for an office must pick up a petition at the Center for Black Studies and be signed, completed and returned to the center by 4 p.m. Friday.

The election will be held on April 16 and is open to all fee-paying students with a 2.3 grade point average.

Black Student Union President Maria Waller said a meeting among the BSU president, BSU Election Commissioner Michelle Dickerson and candidates will be held sometime next week to provide information on the duties of the four offices.

A forum will be held April 2 to introduce the candidates.
