This weekend in NIU Athletics: April 15

Baseball

The NIU baseball team will have a three-game series this weekend in Rochester, Michigan, as they take on Oakland University.

The Huskies dropped all four games to Central Michigan University this past week, putting them at 6-25 overall and 6-12 in conference play.

Men’s Tennis

The men’s tennis team will play host to Western Michigan University on Saturday.

The Huskies split their last weekend series, defeating Ball State University, but falling to the University of Toledo.

NIU is 11-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play. 

Softball

The softball team will host Kent State this weekend for a three-game series.

The Huskies won one of three games this past weekend against Central Michigan University and had their Wednesday match against Valparaiso University canceled.

NIU is 10-19 overall and 4-10 in conference play this season.

Women’s Tennis

The women’s tennis team will travel to Ypsilanti, Michigan, this weekend to take on Eastern Michigan University.

The Huskies Split their matches last weekend, defeating Eastern Michigan, but falling to Western Michigan University.

The Huskies are 14-11  overall and 1-6 in conference play. 

Track and Field

The NIU track and field team will have two meets this weekend. On Friday, they will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, for the Jim Duncan Invitational. 

The team will also travel to Gainesville, Florida, for the Tom Jones Memorial meet from Friday to Saturday.
