Sigma Nu, Phi Sigma Kappa to face off in Tugs championship

The two fraternities will compete in the final round of the IFC Tugs bracket on Saturday.

Phi Sigma Kappa second rope tuggers Vincent Becker, Jordan Stanko, Charlie Dennis, Shane Mortensen, Dominic Carstens, Robert Howe and Jason Mueller competed against Phi Kappa Psi at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second round of the IFC Tugs tournament. Phi Sigma Kappa will move on to the championship at 3 p.m. Saturday. They will face Sigma Nu, who defeated Alpha Sigma Phi in their matchup at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Phi Kappa Psi second rope tuggers Michael Hierl, Phillip Bucher, Evan Dluzak, Evan Ekstam, Evan Nolan, Brandon Evenson and Eddie Miller won the only tug-of-war match out of three against Phi Sigma Kappa on Wednesday, but their fraternity was eliminated from the tournament bracket. (Mingda Wu)
