By creating yet another special handpicked committee, the Committee on Organizations, Productivity and Salaries, La Tourette shows his continuing disdain for the shared governance process. Will the University Council accept this further usurpation of its powers?

Are the legitimately elected representatives on the University Council going to stand by as La Tourette and his Executive Cabinet create a university in their image, irrespective of the needs and wishes of students and faculty?
