Phone registration

Something needs to be done about this university’s registration process—namely, the add-drop system. Phone registration would eliminate the problem by instantly telling the student if the class is full or not. Standing in line for hours to register late or add a class that you found out was filled through the mail would no longer be necessary with the telephone registration system.

Nearly all other major universities have the system. Why is NIU so slow to realize its inconvenience? Maybe if the administration had to stand in line for an hour and a half like I did to pick up two classes and drop one, we would have the system by now. They’ve been talking about installing it for what seems like forever. What is taking so long? It is time for NIU to join the rest of the higher education community and start giving their students some respect.
