Chadwick Boseman shows that he can play super heroes, and participate in serious films. The film “21 Bridges” was an exciting and fast-paced story that throws the viewer into many extreme situations. Boseman played police officer Andre Davis, a man who lost his father in the line of duty as a boy.

DEKALB- The Stage Coach Players Theater will be performing a production of "It's a Wonderful Life." The play will premier 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Stage Coach Players Theater, 126 S. Fifth St. The show will also run 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, 7, 13 and 14. There will be 2 p.m. showings on Dec. 5 and 15.
Students of the Beth Fowler School of Dance, will be performing the ballet “The Nutcracker” Friday through Sunday at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St. The ballet will open at 7 p.m. for the Friday and Saturday performances and 2 p.m. for the Sunday performance.

In the past decade, Martin Scorsese has been experimenting with different genres of film, including dark comedy with “The Wolf of Wall Street,” family entertainment with “Hugo” and historical epic with “Silence.”

As far as sequels go, “Frozen II” is not just a basic rehash of the original, but instead goes in a different direction. While not as groundbreaking as the 2013 original, “Frozen II” has enough fun characters, beautiful animation and excellent songs to satisfy viewers.
The work of many deceased writers and artists has been discovered and appreciated long after their passing. Typically, their struggles with substance abuse and mental illness contribute to their posthumous releases.
