Jim Cornelison, the Chicago Blackhawk’s famed national anthem vocalist, visited campus to sing to students in Barsema Hall. Cornelison first performed “O Canada” followed by the beloved “Star-Spangled Banner,” at 1 p.m. Wednesday. 

This week: 3 ways to eat free on campus

1. NIU Financial Cents program and the College of Business are looking for volunteers to help with the Junior Achievement program for the 2016-17 academic year. An information session for any NIU student who is interested in becoming a volunteer will be held Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. in Barsema Hall, Room 300. Pizza and refreshments will be available after the brief meeting.

2. Edible Education will host a workshop noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Academic Advising Center OSAS Lobby. The informational workshops will teach students various ways to achieve academic success while providing them with a free lunch.

3. The Public Relations Student Association (PRSSA) is hosting an open house in DuSable 204 at 9 p.m. Free pizza will be provided.
