DeKALB – The Egyptian Theatre will be showing a holiday favorite over winter break.

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” will be shown at 2 p.m. Dec. 18 at the theater. Tickets can be purchased online or in person. Tickets for students with a school ID and seniors over the age of 65 are $8 and $10 for adults. Friends of the theater members will receive a $2 discount.

The movie is set around a family man who is doing all he can to prepare the perfect Christmas with his incoming holiday bonus. However, much to his surprise, all the effort he puts in to plan is constantly derailed by unexpected family visits and multiple mishaps.
