DeKALB – NIU head coach Thomas Hammock completed his coaching staff with the additions of Darius Eubanks and Cory White to the NIU football coaching staff, Hammock announced Friday.

Eubanks joins the Huskies after coaching college football the past six years.

White, a former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator, also brings experience to NIU. White has 15 years of college coaching experience in his career.

Eubanks started his football career playing at Georgia Southern University (GSU), later playing for three different NFL teams throughout his four-year career. Last season, Eubanks was the defensive backs coach for Liberty University. He will serve as the cornerbacks coach for NIU.

Eubanks was a part of the Liberty coaching staff that reached the Boca Raton Bowl in 2022. The previous year at GSU, Eubanks coached the cornerbacks to a 10 interception season which ranked No. 30 in the nation for forced turnovers.

White previously served as the offensive coordinator and running backs coach at the University of San Diego (USD). USD averaged 29 points per game and over 350 yards of offense with White as a coach.

White also has experience coaching the offensive line at USD and coaching tight ends at New Mexico State in 2020-21.

Spring practices for NIU football will begin on March 22.
