DeKALB – With the Oscars only two months away, the organizers behind it will be showing previous film nominees and Academy Award winners in a special film series to celebrate the upcoming event.

The movies shown will be “The Philadelphia Story”, “Sunset Boulevard”, “In the Heat of the Night”, “Star Wars: A New Hope”, “Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark”, “Jurassic Park” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, in this order.

Beginning Jan. 16, films will be shown on Tuesdays at 7pm with the exception of Feb. 27 due to rehearsals and shows. The showings will end on Mar. 5 right before the Oscars begin. The films will be shown in the Egyptian Theatre at 135 N. Second Street in DeKalb.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for students with their school ID and $8 for seniors that are 65 years or older. Any friends or associates of members of the Egyptian Theatre can also receive a $2 discount.

Tickets for each film can be purchased on the Egyptian Theatre’s website and additional information can also be found there as well.
