NIU baseball announced five new signings to its newest signing class on Nov. 12 and 13.
The first signee announced by the Huskies was left handed pitcher Devin De Loach out of Crystal Lake South High School. De Loach is ranked as a top-50 player and No. 9 southpaw in the state.
The Huskies also announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Noah Melby out of Brookfield East High School in Wisconsin. Melby is ranked as the No. 31-overall recruit in Wisconsin and the No. 11 right-handed pitcher.
Shortstop Easton Newman was the first position player signed among the new signing class, out of Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois. Newman is the 37th ranked recruit in the state and is the No. 11 recruit at shortstop.
NIU also signed right-handed pitcher Caleb Cox out of Springfield Lutheran High School in Illinois. Cox is the No. 7 right-handed pitcher in Illinois and is the 30th overall player in the state.
The final player announced was catcher Reed Robinson out of New Prairie High School in New Carlisle, Indiana. Robinson is ranked as the No. 2 catcher in the state and the 32nd best player in Indiana.
