Talk offers women landowners ideas

By Northern Star Staff

Women Caring for the Land will offer a women-only peer-to-peer, informal discussion to allow women landowners to talk about their individual land stewardship goals and share information with one another.

The meeting will be 8:30 a.m. March 31 at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau building, 1350 W. Prairie Drive.

Women conservationists will facilitate and share resources, such as USDA cost-share programs. Janice Hill, Kane County farmland preservation program manager, will discuss options for farmland preservation with landowners.

Space is limited. To ask questions, or to RSVP, call or email Teresa Bullock of American Farmland Trust at 815-753-6365 or [email protected].
