It’s cold and flu season. Get proper rest, and remember to take your meds. Also, protect your energy from conflict during this time. Stand up for yourself, but don’t let someone’s petty pessimism affect you.

You have strong opinions. That’s good! Be careful that what you say in this time is not misconstrued by the more gentle-souled people around you. It’s not your job to coddle, but you might as well be kind.

Prepare to hear hard truths. Don’t shut yourself off or try to blame an external circumstance. Practice forgiveness with yourself, and then face the world anew.

Try something new and unique to relieve stress. Experiment with what can ease your tensions, whether that’s taking a bubble bath or trying out kickboxing, you can’t afford to stop completely, so instead, shift gears.

Invest in yourself. You give so much to what you do, and you deserve something that will make your life a little bit easier. If you’re a painter, get that higher quality paint; if you’re on a computer all day, get blue light blocking glasses.

You might be feeling dormant right now; it’s not your time to shine, so you think. That’s normal. If you’d rather break out of this feeling, I encourage it. Maybe blast some Christmas music while you shower, if that’s your thing.

You might feel like you’re constantly playing catch-up. Know that everything will be OK as long as you continue to push forward. It’s hard, but the rewards of your labor will be worth it.

Be unafraid to speak your truth. If you hold back for fear of being judged, you will hold back forever. People will always be judgy and rude, so don’t let outside opinions determine your level of self-advocacy.

Happy birth season! Do you feel a disconnect between body and mind? Practice mindfulness in little ways to remedy this, like focusing on your breathing or on one of your five senses.

You’ve been making important breakthroughs. Celebrate this! Then, keep on going, treading carefully when you need to. You are capable of even greater things. Trust yourself.

Take it easy. After what you’ve gone through and what you have accomplished, be proud of yourself, and allow yourself to relax in any way you can. It can be as simple as making some comfort food and eating in bed.

You’ve been patient; you’re basically a master at it. Now, it’s time to act on what you really want. Be a self-starter if you must, because the problems you’re having won’t fix themselves. Don’t be afraid to change your own life.

If you’re feeling scatterbrained, know that you’re not alone. It’s easy to lose yourself in the whirlwinds of emotion, but you have to learn how to safely pull yourself out of them. Growth doesn’t happen all at once.
