DeKalb County Health Department offers COVID-19 vaccine clinics

DeKALB — The DeKalb County Health Department is offering COVID-19 vaccine clinics beginning Monday.  Pfizer Bivalent booster vaccines will be available through appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Friday mornings Those with appointments must be 12 years or older.

Walk-in visits are accepted on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-in appointments are only available for primary dose series for those 6 months and older and booster doses for children through the age of 5 years old to 11 years old. 

Walk-in appointments for those 12 years and older are no longer available as a result of boosters from the original formulation are no longer authorized. The first and second doses of the original vaccine series, boosters, and pediatric COVID-19 vaccines are available. Clinics will be located at the DeKalb County Health Department on 100 W Lincoln Highway, Walgreens on 1340 DeKalb Avenue in Sycamore, and other various locations.
