DeKALB – NIU’s Center for Black Studies recently created a new club called Podcast Club. The club gathers fellow podcast enthusiasts to sit down and meet and discuss a podcast of the club’s choice.

The first meeting of the Podcast Club will be led by Gaylen Rivers on Friday from noon to 1 p.m in the Center for Black Studies. Future Podcast Club hosts will be announced on dates close to the meetings.

Each meeting will be run by a different black faculty or staff member and will discuss a unique podcast. Attendees are encouraged to listen to the podcast beforehand. However, there will be opportunities to listen to sound clips during the meeting.

The podcast of discussion for the first meeting will be the third episode of Feel in the Blank. The episode is available on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud and other podcast platforms. More information on Feel in the Blank can be found on their Instagram page.

The next Podcast Club meeting after Friday’s is scheduled for Oct. 14 from noon to 1 p.m.
