DeKALB – The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is presenting “Clown Princes,” a silent film by Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd, accompanied by historic scores played by a live orchestra.

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is dedicated to recreating “America’s Original Music,” and is the only year-round professional ensemble in the world.

Paragon has one of the best original collections of period film scores in the world. They feature more than 900 titles from 1898 to 1928. Paragon’s goal is to bring early cinema back to life, as it is a vast world of entertainment waiting to be enjoyed by those in the DeKalb Community.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. in the Egyptian Theatre in Dekalb on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Ticket prices start at $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 65 or older and students with an ID and $10 for children under 12.
