Dimensions Dance Academy to perform in downtown DeKalb

DeKALB – Dancers from Dimensions Dance Academy invite the public to the Dance Down Gingerbread Lane event. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, downtown DeKalb will have dancers performing in downtown merchant windows.

The downtown strip will be decked out in gingerbread decorations as dancers come to life in store windows. A gingerbread person scavenger hunt will be offered for adults and children to participate in. Starting cards for the scavenger hunt can be found at Dimensions Dance Academy located at 134 E. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb.

This event is free and open to the public. The following store merchants will be offering fun activities:

  • Barb City Bagels – Gingerbread bagels and lattes
  • Robin’s Nest Bookshoppe – coloring pages and a chance at a raffle drawing
  • Willrett Flower Company – seasonal flower bar and evergreen door swag or terrarium ornament workshop (sign up for workshops on their Facebook page)
  • Cracker Jax – staff dressed up for the holidays and 20% off sale
  • Tapa La Luna – Gingerbread Cocktail
  • Blu Door Decor – hosting Sweet Butts Cotton Candy
  • Create Health Mobility Clinic – pay-per-design face painting by Amy’s Art of Faces
  • El Jimador – churros and snacks for sale out of the window
  • Kid Stuff – fill their stocking sale
  • Byer’s Brewery – complimentary gift wrapping of items bought downtown by Century 21 Affiliated
  • Dimensions Dance Academy – photo opportunity with the Sugar Plum Fairy and PuraVida bracelet sales
  • Hometown Sports Bar and Grill – Gingerbread Martini
  • Found. Home and Vintage Marketplace – complimentary hot chocolate and coffee (with help from Helen’s Hair Designs)

Money raised by dance sponsors will be used to provide Dimensions Dance Academy students with pre-professional dance training and performance opportunities.
