DeKALB – The Celebration Chorale invites the public to their Christmas cantata concert “The Promise of Light.” At 7 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 3 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 4, longtime Chorale members and those new to the group will perform at First United Methodist Church, 317 North 4th Street, DeKalb.

“The Promise of Light”, created by Joel Raney, blends traditional Christmas carols with original music to tell the story of Christ and celebrate God’s gift of eternal light. The concert will showcase the unique element of the 4-hand piano accompaniment and handbell choir. The Celebration Chorale has singers representing over nine church denominations and 10 local communities.

The cost of attendance is free, but there will be a free-will offering. Parking will be available adjacent to the church and across Fourth Street.

For more information about the concert, call Sally Mullis, Celebration Chorale Leadership Team President, at 815-739-6087 or email at [email protected].
