The Northern Star’s newest investigative series “What’s Up With?” will send reporters to find out exactly what’s up with local topics that pique our readers’ interest.

The name and premise of the series are purposefully broad to magnify narrow topics. Our reporters will strive to supply enough context to make readers a mini-expert on something they previously knew nothing about.

Example: Imagine you’ve seen people in yellow high-visibility safety vests measuring sidewalks all throughout campus. If you want to find out what’s happening, fill out the “What’s Up With?” form on our website. We’ll assign a student reporter to the question as soon as possible and try to figure out what’s up with it.
