DeKALB – NIU’s gymnastics and wrestling host the week’s marquee event as part of the annual “Beauty and the Beast” event while all other NIU teams set off on the road.

NIU men’s basketball matches up against Western Michigan on Tuesday and Bowling Green on Saturday. The Broncos come into the week at 6-14 overall and 2-5 in conference play, good for ninth place in the MAC. The Falcons enter this week at 10-10 overall and 4-3 in the MAC, matching the Huskies conference record.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Wednesday, Feb. 1: at Ball State University, 5:30 p.m. CT

Saturday, Feb. 4: at Buffalo, 1 p.m. CT

NIU women’s basketball (10-8, 2-5 MAC) will compete against Ball State University (16-4, 5-1 MAC) and the University at Buffalo (8-8, 4-3 MAC) next week. The Huskies will compete against Ball State at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Muncie, Indiana at the Worthen Arena. Following their game against Ball State the Huskies will compete against Buffalo at 1 p.m. Saturday in Buffalo, New York at Alumni Arena.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Thursday, Feb. 2: at University of Wisconsin-Madison, 9:30 a.m.

NIU women’s tennis (0-3) heads to Wisconsin to face off with the Badgers (2-1) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (0-2) in a doubleheader dual. The Huskies will take on the Badgers at 9:30 a.m. at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin and the Golden Eagles at 6 p.m. at Elite Sports Clubs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Huskies look to add their first win against the two Wisconsin squads.
TRACK AND FIELD
Friday, Feb. 3 – Saturday, Feb. 4: at Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame University
South Bend, Ind.
NIU track and field will travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The invitational will take place over a two-day period, from Friday, Feb. 3 to Saturday, Feb. 4. This will be the second time this season that the Huskies will visit South Bend.
HOCKEY

NIU hockey hits the road to take on McKendree University in the team’s final regular-season meeting of the season. The teams will wrap up their season series in a Saturday afternoon matchup. Last time the Huskies met the Bearcats, the teams split the series with McKendree winning game one 6-1, and NIU winning their first game of the season 5-3.
GYMNASTICS
Saturday, Feb. 4: vs. Simpson College and Kent State University, 1 p.m.
DeKalb, Ill. / Convocation Center
NIU gymnastics will host Simpson College and Kent State University on February 4 at 1 p.m. This will be their third time going against a Mid-American Conference rival. The Huskies have been 6-9 going up against Kent State overall since 2007. This is also going to be the first time the Huskies will go up against Simpson College, which is currently 1-4.
WRESTLING
Saturday, Feb. 4: vs. University of Buffalo, 1 p.m.

NIU wrestling will host the University of Buffalo in its annual “Beauty and the Beast” dual at 1 p.m. on Feb. 4. The Huskies are coming off of a huge win against Mid-American Conference rival Ohio University, as they go into this upcoming week with a lot of momentum being able to defeat two nationally ranked wrestlers with a 23-10 final. This is the first time the Huskies will be hosting a dual at home since Nov. 12.
