This week’s Tail’s Pet of the Week is a red husky named Fairbanks and he is looking for a family to call his own. He is about 3-years-old and is on the smaller side, weighing under 45 lbs.

Fairbanks was formerly found strolling down country roads before he was picked up and brought to the shelter. He knows several commands and while not much of his past is known, he is eager to make new memories.

Fairbanks has a tendency to guard food and is looking for someone experienced who can understand and help him adjust. He’s looking for a home without young kids, but is open to playing with other dogs. A meet and greet is the best way to see if he is a good match where he’ll be waiting in a quieter area of the shelter.
