Act of Grace, a DeKalb organization that provides support to children with epilepsy, has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Pacific Life Foundation.

Founded in 2019, Act of Grace offers social and emotional support resources to youths with epilepsy, as well as their families.

The funds from the grant will go towards those efforts.

The Pacific Life Foundation is an organization founded by Pacific Life, a life insurance company. According to Pacific Life’s website, they gave away a total of $7.45 million in 2021.

“These funds will help us achieve our core mission of delivering much-needed social and emotional support services to children with epilepsy, as well as their immediate families, all over DeKalb County,” said Chris Janota, President of the Board of Directors. “Every dollar we take in is put to work so that we can be there to support these underserved families because it’s our belief that nobody fights alone.”

Act of Grace will use the money to help host monthly support groups to help community efforts towards Epilepsy education.
