Free tickets available for event with NPR correspondent

DeKALB – The Friends of the NIU Libraries are offering eight tickets for free to NIU students who would like to attend WNIJ’s “An evening with Scott Horsley.”

“An evening with Scott Horsley,” part of WNIJ’s 2023 live events series, will be take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Prairie Street Brewing Company, 200 Prairie St., in Rockford.

Along with Horsley, WNIJ’s Susan Stephens and NIU English Professor Dan Libman will conduct a presentation where they will discuss the economy, Horsley’s time as NPR’s White House correspondent, his Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa and will host a Q&A.

Those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet Horsley at the VIP reception preceding his talk.

Food and drinks will be available such as hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
