Undocumented Student Resource Center to host poetry workshop

The Office for Undocumented Student Support is located in the Peters Campus Life Building, Room 230. The office is hosting a night poetry workshop in the Holmes Student Center on March 22.

Storytelling is at the heart of the human experience. Angélica Maria Aguilera, a latina musician and writer known for highlighting the power of latina women, will be holding a poetry workshop at NIU.

Angélica Maria is known for holding a number of spoken word events and a wide variety of workshops. Maria is also part of an 80 member all-woman Mexican orchestra.

Hosted by Undocumented Student Resource Center, this workshop is open to all students.

The workshop will take place concurrently with Sandy López’s Introduction to Latin American Studies course.

The presentation will take place at 1:00 p.m. on March 22 in the Holmes Student Center Regency Room.

This presentation is also eligible for the business passport and the honor’s connect program.
