The NIU softball team will host the Valparaiso University Crusaders (4-25) in a doubleheader Tuesday. The Huskies will then host the MAC leading Ohio University Bobcats in a three-game series over the weekend. 

MEN’S TENNIS

Saturday, April 15: at Western Michigan University, 1 p.m.

Kalamazoo, Mich. / West Hills Athletics Club

NIU men’s tennis (12-9) travels to Michigan to take on Western Michigan, who is currently 7-2 in MAC play. The Huskies will be looking to snap their three game losing streak.

NIU women’s tennis takes on Eastern Michigan in a rematch of last week’s narrow 4-3 win at Eastern Michigan. The Huskies stay at home to take on rival Ball State Sunday. The Cardinals swept the Huskies 7-0 in their last meeting on March 31.

NIU women’s track will travel to California this weekend for three different invitationals. Two of the three invites will begin on Thursday, the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational, and the third, Beach Invitational, will begin on Friday. NIU is coming off of a one day event at the University of Illinois this past weekend. 

WOMEN’S GOLF

NIU women’s golf heads to Provo, Utah to compete in the BYU Intercollegiate. The tournament is an all day event from Monday, April 10 until Wednesday, April 12. The Huskies are coming off a fourth place finish with junior Jasmine Ly finishing tied for fifth place. Ly finished the tournament three under par earning her second MAC golfer of the week award.

NIU men’s golf looks to bounce back at the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt University after a 23rd place finish at The Goodwin. The tournament is an all day event stretching from Monday, April 10 through Wednesday, April 12.
