DeKALB – NIU Athletics hosts its annual Victor E. Bash event in May of 2023. Fans and alumni have the option to attend this event in person or virtually. The event will take place from May 1 to May 6.

To start the Bash on May 1, auction items such as sports gear, memorabilia will be up for bidding. These items will be available to view before the auction opens.

On May 2, NIU Athletics’ YouTube channel will premiere a virtual reunion with former Huskies coaches and current NIU head football coach Thomas Hammock. Huskie fans and alumni will be able to participate and watch all of the Victor E. Bash videos that will be posted on the NIU Athletics YouTube throughout the week.

On May 3, the annual Wine and Spirits Pull will go live at 7 p.m. The auction will be available to view before the event starts and will be available on NIU Athletics YouTube. 

The Student-Athlete award show will be held at 7 p.m. on May 4.

The Victor E. Bash will conclude with a concert at the Convocation Center on May 6. Country artists Russel Dickerson, Lauren Alaina and Uncle Kracker will be featured on the final day of the Bash.
