Tucker, Green-May headed to NFL camps

DeKALB NIU football announced former players Cole Tucker and Izayah Green-May have been invited to NFL camps Monday. 

Tucker will be headed to the Minnesota Vikings’ training camp after playing in a Huskie uniform for five seasons. 

The DeKalb native is tied for seventh at NIU in career catches with 155 and is the eighth player in school history to exceed 2,000 receiving yards, finishing with 2,030. Tucker also led NIU football in receiving with 45 catches in 11 games during the 2022 season. 

Green-May will be traveling to New Jersey after he was invited to the New York Giants’ training camp, spending just one season as a Huskie after transferring from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Bolingbrook native started all 12 games of the 2022 season where he made 34 tackles, including a season-high six tackles against Central Michigan University. 

Rookies will report to the Vikings’ training camp on July 24 with practice starting on July 25. The Giants’ training camp will begin on July 27.
