The Ellwood House Museum has released its schedule for the 2023 holiday season, with two ways to experience a tour. The mansion will be decorated for the holidays by local organizations and businesses, as well as volunteers.
From Nov. 15 to Dec. 1, guided tours of the mansion will take place at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and there will be no tours.
On Dec. 2 Dec. 3, the Ellwood House will host its Holiday Event Weekend, which takes place annually. During these days, guests can take self-guided tours. Tickets are available between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 2, with the last tickets being sold at 6 p.m. On Dec. 3, tickets can be reserved between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with the last tickets being sold at 3 p.m.
The Holiday Weekend Event will also feature refreshments, a chance to visit Santa, and live music at the Holiday Open House.
From Dec. 6 through Dec. 17, guided tours will resume at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.
Adult tickets are priced at $12, and children ages 6-17 are $6. Children under six get in for free. Tickets can be reserved online or in person at the Ellwood House Visitor Center. Members of the Ellwood House Museum get in for free, and memberships can also be purchased online.
Dec. 17 will be the last day that the museum is open for the year and will reopen again in 2024.
