The NIU women’s tennis squad is ready to net victories, and the players have a chance to rack up wins Friday—Sunday at the Indiana University Midwest Tournament in Bloomington, Ind.

Coach Patty Groth finds her team to be in tiptop shape, since she has five returning letter-winners from last year’s North Star Conference tournament championship season.

Back for the 1991-92 year are junior Hild Andersch, Svetlana Nedelikovic, Sarah Murfey, Jami Cheek and Natalija Todorovic.

Nine teams take part in the weekend’s event, including the University of Iowa, the University of Kentucky, Marquette University, Miami (Ohio) University, Southern Illinois University, Vanderbilt University, and Western Michigan University. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. each day.
